The Opportunity
As part of our next growth phase, we’re looking for a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of clients. You’ll be the first call for clients, set the plan for each engagement, review work produced by the team, and drive outcomes across compliance, management reporting and practical advisory.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day advisor for a portfolio of SME clients
- Review year-end financial statements, income tax returns and BAS/IAS prepared by the team, resolve complex issues and sign off quality
- Oversee payroll and bookkeeping tasks
- Deliver monthly or quarterly management reports, three-way forecasts and cashflow insights, adding practical recommendations that drive business decisions
- Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and other external advisors to manage compliance and resolve queries
- Support and mentor junior accountants to help them develop their technical and client skills
Qualifications, Experience & Attributes
- 5+ years in business services/tax with demonstrable client facing experience
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and confident with Excel and cloud tools.
- Sharp reviewer: you can explain the why behind your review notes and help the team learn
- Commercial mindset: comfortable discussing scope, fixed fees vs time-cost and managing WIP/recoverability
- Clear and professional communicator who builds trust quickly with clients
