Job Title: IT Systems Manager
The role involves guiding the service desk team, contributing to IT strategy and ensuring effective management of IT infrastructure and support services.
1. Lead the service desk team and delegate tasks effectively.
2. Contribute to IT strategy development and implementation.
3. Ensure IT contractors meet obligations and provide hands-on technical support.
4. Administer, maintain and develop servers for optimal performance and high availability.
5. Maintain the quality of desktop support for end users.
6. Configure and verify backups and business continuity solutions.
7. Design networks and servers that meet current and future needs.
8. Procure and receive technology goods and equipment.
9. Manage mobile devices and maintain asset registers.
10. Consult with internal departments on solution requirements.
11. Manage phone system hardware and configurations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* IT degree or relevant experience.
* Proficiency in networking and switch configuration.
* Knowledge of VMware vSphere and backup systems.
* Skills in software license management.
* Experience with SSO integration and identity providers.
* O365 administration skills.
* Working knowledge of firewall and router technologies.
