About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Practitioner to support a major Defence program.
This is an Above the Line role, embedded within the Commonwealth and working under Commonwealth direction.
You'll provide end-to-end ILS expertise across analysis, planning, acquisition, transition, sustainment, asset management, and end-of-life disposal of materiel systems.
The role requires strong ILS fundamentals, excellent stakeholder communication, and the ability to operate with autonomy and professional judgment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) in accordance with DEF(AUST) ****
Identify, develop and verify ILS requirements
Develop and maintain the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR)
Prepare, review, and update ILS documentation and artefacts
Review and provide input to OEM system deliverables
Evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for support system impacts
Prepare documentation and presentation materials for system reviews
Present supportability findings to the ILS Manager for decision-making
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Degree-qualified ILS practitioner, or equivalent industry experience (5–10+ years)
Experience using LES Suite products (eMRD, eLSA, eLORA) or similar logistics engineering tools
Desirable Skills & Experience
OPUS10 training and practical experience
Strong technical judgement and ability to work under broad direction
Demonstrated ability to meet technical and project objectives independently
Experience working across varied and complex technical work scopes
Ability to analyse, design, plan and execute work to time, cost and quality targets
Strong understanding of organisational and customer requirements
Capable of advising on standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to ILS
Skilled in risk assessment and mitigation
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Creative, innovative and ethical approach to problem-solving
