About The Client Our client is an integral part of the Townsville community, delivering high-quality education and services across Far North Queensland. About the Opportunity A Café Barista plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of a cafe. We are looking for an experienced front of house assistant with a little work in the kitchen. Taking orders, operating cash register and POS Station. Service of hot and cold beverages and food items. Preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages. Operating espresso machines and ensuring quality drinks. Supporting all aspects of food preparation, quality control and food display. Ensuring adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for Café area and stock rotation. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the Café and all areas pertaining to the Café ensuring food handling and health and safety guidelines are met. Remove food scraps, empty and clean Café bins, and wash, dry and store all crockery and utensils in order to provide a safe and hygienic work environment. Strip, clean, reassemble and maintain all food preparation and cooking appliances. Ensure day to day activities align with business operation as directed by your supervisor. About You Must be able to work Full Time hours. Previous experience as a Barista for at least a solid year or more. A Visa that is valid for the next 12 months. All certificates and tickets required for food preparation and service. Can start ASAP and stay for the entire contract and understand that there is no work during school. holidays Strong team player and fantastic communication skills.
