Career Coach - Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA)
Breakthru is delivering the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program across New South Wales and Queensland. You'll support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career, guiding them through the job-readiness journey from first conversation to job application and interview preparation.
As part of the Royal Rehab Group, Breakthru provides stability, resources and support to grow your career while making a real impact in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with clients to plan next career steps and help them find the right job.
* Build strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths and support needs.
* Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
* Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience and group activities.
* Collaborate with employers and community services to open pathways to employment and training.
* Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
* Champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment and person-centred practice.
About You
You bring empathy, energy and a drive to make a difference. You may have experience or a genuine passion for employment services. You're confident supporting people, building trust and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers. You're outcomes-focused, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment. You enjoy understanding each client's strengths, goals and challenges to coach them effectively and build confidence. You also engage with employers to understand their business needs and prepare candidates who are the right fit. You're proactive, professional and detail-oriented, maintaining accurate records and upholding high service standards. Above all, you lead with integrity, empathy and a commitment to inclusive, person-centred support.
Essential Criteria
* Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g., Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) – desirable.
* Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
* Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans.
* Confidence in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs.
* Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends.
* Current Driver's License - essential.
