About The Role
Coal Services is looking for two Claims Officers to support Worker Services team on full-time, fixed-term contracts of 4 months and 18 months.
As a Claims Officer with Coal Mines Insurance (CMI), you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of claims-related administration and customer-service activities.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
* Accurate and timely payment of accounts
* Registration of claims and early notifications
* Efficient management of customer claims administration, mail, phone enquiries and file management
* Ability to meet KPI targets in a timely manner
* Active participation in ongoing projects under management
About You
Your education, experience and skills will include:
* Business Administration Certificate (essential)
* Strong computer skills especially with Adobe and Microsoft Office
* Team player with a focus on customer service excellence
* Professional phone manner with clear verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to learning
* Organisational skills and ability to prioritise

About Us
Coal Services is a Specialised Health and Safety Scheme that provides an integrated suite of services to help identify, assess, monitor, and control many risks inherent in the NSW coal mining industry. Our preventative and responsive services in the areas of workplace health and safety, workers compensation, emergency response and training help to deliver on our purpose, 'to protect'. Our purpose, vision and values are aligned to focus on the safety and health of our industry and its workers.
Coal Mines Insurance (CMI) is responsible for administering a workers compensation scheme for the NSW Coal Mining industry. CMI has two customers Workers and Employers. Employers pay a premium in exchange for workers compensation coverage – this funds the cost of claims and also the majority of the Coal Services operation. Workers are the primary beneficiary of the CMI Scheme.
