Mater Private Hospital Townsville is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in their career Our Perioperative Department is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to transition into a Clinical Nurse Level 2 role within our dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab team. This permanent, part-time position (32 hours per week) is based at our Pimlico campus.
MPHT boasts brand new state of the art theatre facilities, a catheterization laboratory, separate onsite day site surgery facilities as well as newly implemented robotic surgery involving the da Vinci Surgical System.

Salary range: $ $58.30 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits
What you'll be doing
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
* Managing and building rosters for the department
* Working closely with the NUM in identifying and developing quality improvement projects
* Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
* Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision, along with staffing within budget requirements
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
* Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
* At least 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting with preferred experience in Cath lab Recovery
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
* Strong knowledge of ACORN and NSQHS Standards
* A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater Values
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
