Dr Paws Anakie Road is seeking an experienced and people-focused Practice Manager to lead our team and support the smooth and efficient running of our busy small‑animal clinic.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the clinic, ensuring exceptional customer service, team performance and morale, and operational excellence. Working closely with the Clinical Director and the wider CVS network, you’ll help shape a positive, supportive workplace culture while keeping the clinic running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily clinic operations and workflow
* Lead, coach and support the nursing/reception team
* Manage rostering, leave requests and workforce planning
* Handle client escalations professionally and promptly
* Oversee inventory management and supplier relationships
* Monitor clinic performance and assist with reporting
* Support recruitment, onboarding and staff training
* Uphold clinical and operational compliance standards
About You
* Experience in veterinary, medical, or allied health practice management highly regarded
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment
* Confident with administration, scheduling, and basic financial processes
* Passionate about pets, people, and creating a great client experience
* Must have full working rights in Australia
