About the Role
Provide support to the REX Risk Management Specialists to deliver risk consulting services to NSW Government Agencies. This will include data analysis and reporting, report preparation, and project management tasks. The role will also support the development and execution of risk management related education, support for property and liability risk assessments.

Duties
* Support risk management specialists in engaging with government agencies to guide their approach to operational risk management and loss prevention, and to encourage a risk-prevention mindset.
* Analyse claims data and conduct Risk Identification and Risk Assessment studies for government agencies on emerging and critical risks.
* Support the Risk Management Specialists to identify, investigate, and develop effective mitigation options for emerging risks in conjunction with government, industry groups, and regulatory bodies.
* Contribute to client communications and risk assessment reporting.
* Support the development of education programs to keep government agencies abreast of legal, risk and policy developments that impact their operations and can lead to loss or damage to their people and assets.
* Stay ahead of risk management and loss prevention strategies in government and non-government organisations to help inform best practice for icare's loss prevention strategy.
* Support liability and property risk engineering assessments, both on-site and through desktop reviews.
* Assist in developing self-help resources to address identified risk recommendations.
* Assist in business development and new opportunities as needed.
Skills & Expertise
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a related role.
* Developed understanding of risk management and loss prevention strategies, combined with a solid knowledge of the insurance industry.
* Experience delivering hazard studies, risk assessments, and risk workshops.
* Demonstrate the ability to assess complex scenarios and draw insights from data.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
* Engaged in initiatives that demonstrate keeping abreast of best practice.
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, commerce, or a risk-related discipline.
* Strong numerical analysis, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
