We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Care Worker to provide personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to maintain their independence and quality of life.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing home help services including general housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. You will also provide personal care services such as assisting with mobility and therapy goals, providing complex care for customers with high care needs, and offering social and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care services to clients including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
* Assist with mobility and therapy goals, ensuring clients can move safely and comfortably around their homes
* Prepare meals and snacks for clients, taking into account any dietary requirements or restrictions
* Conduct grocery shopping for clients, selecting fresh and nutritious food options
* Perform general housekeeping tasks, maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging them in activities and conversations
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans for clients
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience working in a care or support role, preferably in a home care setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and their families
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, responding to changing priorities and situations
* Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
* A commitment to delivering high-quality care and support, respecting the dignity and autonomy of clients
* Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures, with the ability to respond appropriately in critical situations
