About the role
True North Accountants is seeking a talented and driven
Business Development & Marketing Coordinator
to join our dynamic team in our Byron Bay office. This is a contract role of 10 hours per week, with the potential to increase hours or transition to a permanent position as your impact grows.
As the Business Development & Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting our business development and marketing initiatives, playing a key role in
driving growth and expanding our client base
.
Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
What you'll be doing -
Initially
* Organising local events and webinars:
Lead the planning and execution of high-impact local events and webinars that strengthen our brand, engage our audience, and drive new business opportunities
* Post-event follow-up:
Actively engage with event and webinar attendees to nurture relationships, capture opportunities, and convert interest into qualified leads and new clients
* Distributing marketing collateral and building local presence:
Proactively share flyers, brochures, and other promotional materials with local business owners and community hubs, creating brand awareness, starting conversations, and generating interest
* Developing referral partnerships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, lawyers, and other professionals to generate a consistent stream of high-quality client referrals
* Attending networking events and industry conferences:
Represent the firm at key networking events and industry conferences to promote our brand, build strategic relationships, and generate quality business leads
* Developing and implementing targeted marketing campaigns:
Plan and execute campaigns to attract new clients, collaborating with our Content Creator for creative assets and content to maximise impact
Performance bonus:
Opportunity to earn a bonus based on achieving lead generation and new client targets.
What you'll be doing -
Additionally longer-term
* Driving website traffic and generating inbound leads:
Use SEO, targeted social media advertising, and outreach to boost online visibility and increase website visits. Following up inbound leads from these channels to convert them into qualified prospects and booked meetings.
* Managing CRM and email marketing:
Manage the creation of targeted email campaigns in collaboration with our Content Creator. Record and track leads, conversations, and meetings in our CRM to ensure consistent follow-up and conversion.
* Conducting market research and competitor analysis:
Gather and analyse market and competitor insights to identify opportunities, inform strategy, and drive effective marketing initiatives
What we're looking for
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar business development, or marketing coordinator role, preferably within the professional services industry and/or B2B.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* A proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify and implement new marketing initiatives
* Proficiency in using marketing and CRM software, such as Active Campaign preferred but not necessary
* A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field, and/or experience in a similar role with proven results
* Knowledge of the Byron Bay & Northern Rivers business landscape highly advantageous
