As a Senior Specialist - Employee & Industrial Relations, you will lead the employee relations function by providing authoritative advice, coaching and hands‑on technical leadership on complex ER matters, strengthening and complementing the HR and HSW Business Partner model. You will also lead the organisation's industrial relations function, including enterprise bargaining, delivering this work as a coordinated program at both operational and strategic levels.

* Location - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra or Perth
* Salary between $152,074 - $202,614 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuation
* Permanent, full-time role

The team

People & Culture (P&C) is responsible for delivering people initiatives that are aligned with business strategy across the full employee lifecycle. The team delivers robust people strategies and services that support leaders and employees during their careers with ASIC.

The role

As a Senior Specialist - Employee & Industrial Relations, you will be:

* Providing expert ER advice to support sound, risk‑aligned decision‑making across P&C.
* Coaching Senior Managers (Business Partnering and HSW) on PIPs, disciplinary matters, grievances and health‑related issues.
* Leading ER/IR specialists, setting strategic direction and overseeing delivery.
* Leading delivery of Enterprise Agreement commitments, frameworks, policies and procedures.
* Leading enterprise bargaining, including planning, business readiness, research and modelling, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
* Partnering with Business Partners and HSW to uplift ER case management capability.
* Designing tools, templates and governance to ensure consistent, compliant case management.
* Leading and resolving complex ER matters, including disputes, grievances, discipline and investigations.
* Working closely with Legal and risk teams to manage privilege and drive efficient outcomes.
* Acting as PID Officer, overseeing Speak Up matters and ensuring confidential, compliant handling of disclosures.
* Improving the quality, consistency and visibility of employee matter reporting.

About you

In addition, you will have:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or Industrial or Employment Relations.
* Significant experience in a senior HR leadership, Senior HR Business Partner or senior Workplace Relations role, with deep ER/IR expertise.
* Proven capability in coaching and developing others, building technical expertise, strategic thinking and problem‑solving in complex environments.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including negotiation, facilitation, influencing and conflict resolution.
* Sound knowledge of federal employment legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
* Strong technical capability across HR, ER and IR matters, including payroll and compliance.
* Demonstrated experience applying project management principles.
