The Role
We are seeking a hands-on and safety-focused Maintenance Supervisor to lead the mechanical, electrical, and contractor maintenance teams at our Dongara site. This is a pivotal leadership role that oversees maintenance across the Dongara Kiln, mining areas, and site facilities to ensure high equipment reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on and safety-focused Maintenance Supervisor to lead the mechanical, electrical, and contractor maintenance teams at our Dongara site. This is a pivotal leadership role that oversees maintenance across the Dongara Kiln, mining areas, and site facilities to ensure high equipment reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
You will plan and coordinate preventative maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency works while driving continuous improvement, managing contractors, and leading a strong safety culture.
Preference will be given to candidates based in Dongara or surrounding areas. Applicants from outside the region can apply, with a commitment to a self-funded relocation withing 3 months. This is not DIDO or FIFO role.
Responsibilities
* Lead maintenance activities across kiln, mining, and site facilities.
* Supervise mechanical, electrical, and contractor teams.
* Manage preventative and unplanned maintenance, shutdowns, and compliance.
* Ensure safety standards, regulatory requirements, and performance targets are met.
* Drive continuous improvement and team development.
* Support planning, project execution, and contractor management.
What You Need To Succeed
* Mechanical trade background with at least 5 years' experience in heavy industry or mining.
* Proven leadership experience in a 24/7 manufacturing or processing environment.
* Certificate IV in Leadership or equivalent (highly regarded).
* Statutory Supervisor Certificate of Competency.
* Knowledge of risk management, regulatory compliance, and asset maintenance strategies.
* Strong SAP and Microsoft Office skills.
* Ability to manage contractors, budgets, and planning systems effectively.
* Excellent communication, decision-making, and team development skills.
