Job Title: Crop Physiologist and Modeller - Creating Sustainable Agriculture Solutions
This is a research-focused position at the University of Queensland. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to our team's efforts in improving field crop adaptive traits, addressing global challenges in food security and climate resilience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing innovative research in crop physiology and modelling across multiple crops (including cereals and legumes), developing modelling software, combining experimental and modelling approaches to improve yield and resource-use efficiency.
About You
* You must have a PhD in Crop Science, Plant/Crop Physiology, Mathematical Modelling or a related field.
* You should have experience and expertise in experimental and/or modelling crop adaptive traits.
* You will need to demonstrate evidence of publications in reputable refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
* You must be able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams or individually and meet deadlines.
* You should possess good interpersonal skills, including initiative, drive and flexibility to achieve results.
* You must have high levels of personal integrity, transparency and capability.
* Experience in computer coding for data analysis and visualisation (e.g. R, Python) is desirable.
