About you
We're looking for a sharp and customer-centric Product Owner who's excited to help shape the future of virtual healthcare. You'll be working alongside our talented dev team to make our web and mobile apps smarter, smoother, and more impactful for the people who use them every day — patients, clinicians, and care teams alike.
This role is perfect for someone who loves turning messy problems into simple, meaningful user experiences. You'll chat with stakeholders, dive into workflows, map out user journeys, and work hands‐on with the team to bring ideas to life. You don't just manage backlogs — you help define where we're going and why it matters.
If you've got a knack for making complex ideas easy to grasp, an eye for great design, enjoy collaborating across disciplines, and have a real passion for building things that help people, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Accountabilities
Help to define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, aligning with business goals, user needs, and clinical priorities.
Gather, analyse, and document functional and non‐functional requirements, working closely with stakeholders across clinical, technical, and business domains.
Own and manage the product backlog, prioritising features and enhancements based on value, feasibility, and user impact.
Collaborate daily with the development team, participating in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and stand‐ups to ensure a clear understanding and delivery of requirements.
Champion user experience (UX) by mapping user journeys, identifying pain points, and working with design teams to deliver intuitive interfaces and workflows.
Engage and consult with key stakeholders, including clinicians, patients, internal teams, and external partners, to gather insights and validate solutions.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and support go‐to‐market activities, including release planning, documentation, and training.
Continuously monitor product performance and user feedback post‐release, using analytics and qualitative input to inform iteration and optimisation.
Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or UX/UI Designer in an agile software development environment, preferably with cross‐functional product teams.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle — from user research and requirements gathering to release planning, QA, and delivery.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories and product roadmaps.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across technical, clinical, design, and business teams.
A strong user‐first mindset, with a passion for using data and user feedback to optimise user journeys, improve digital workflows, and deliver intuitive product experiences.
Experience facilitating workshops (e.g. backlog grooming, sprint planning, retros, and discovery sessions) and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders.
Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and make data‐informed product decisions.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as IT, Business, Design, Computer Science, or Health Informatics.
Highly Regarded (Desirable) Criteria
Hands‐on experience with UX/UI tools, especially Figma, and a good eye for user‐centric design and usability. Bonus points if you can create full hi‐fidelity designs that are ready to build.
Experience in the healthcare, telehealth, pharmaceutical, or clinical software space, particularly with patient‐facing or clinician‐facing applications.
Experience working in regulated or compliance‐heavy environments, such as healthcare, finance, or government.
Familiarity with healthcare system integrations (e.g. HL7, FHIR, EMR/EHR platforms, privacy and security frameworks).
