Senior Geotechnical Engineer
The successful candidate will lead geotechnical investigations, site inspections, and project delivery for a diverse portfolio of urban infrastructure and mining projects in Western Australia.
* Lead and assist in geotechnical investigations including drilling, test pitting, CPT programs and geophysical surveys across WA and beyond.
* Conduct site inspections for geological mapping, investigation optimisation, material assessment, geotechnical support during construction, etc.
* Manage site investigations, including client liaison, subcontractor coordination and development of lab testing programs.
* Pursue geotechnical analysis and design for slope stability, pavements, landfills, dams, foundations, retaining walls, and other structures.
* Utilise engineering judgement to interpret data and develop practical, commercially viable solutions.
* Deliver high-quality technical outputs that meet client expectations and deadlines.
* Liaise with multidisciplinary teams comprising engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, geotechnicians, and environmental scientists.
* Mentor junior staff, fostering technical development and career growth.
* Engage in business development activities, including client relationship management and identifying new opportunities.
Requirements
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Geology.
* Achieve a minimum 5 years' experience in geotechnical investigations and analysis.
* Demonstrate proven experience in project management and client engagement.
* Exhibit strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
* Possess excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
* Demonstrate commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business development.
* Hold a current driver's licence and be willing to travel to remote sites.
