We now have an opportunity for a **Bitumen Transport Scheduler **to join our team producing efficient delivery schedules for bitumen and emulsion deliveries to Downers varied customers. Based out of or office at either Brisbane or Gold Coast you will ensure compliance to safety legislation, Downers Policies and customer expectations as you work to create daily and weekly planning schedules.
**ABOUT YOU**
- Previous scheduling experience in transport industry is advantageous but not essential; comprehensive training provided.
- Familiarity with Fatigue Management, and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirements ideal.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, making optimal logistic decisions under pressure, in an ever-changing allocations environment.
- Proven understanding of the dynamics of scheduling benefits and operational financial performance
- Ability to make logical decisions based on sound analysis.
- Proven planning and organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on solution-based outcomes
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills in all levels of the supply chain.
- Background in transport and logistics preferred; operational experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel.
