This department manages internationally recognized standards, codes of practice and guidelines. 
**Your new role** 
- Engage effectively with remote staff on Christmas Island to compile documents and present an 
- Under limited supervision, undertake a preliminary desktop review of the Christmas Island National Park Management Plan and associated documents evidence base for an independent audit of the management plan 
- Procure an independent auditor to assess implementation of the management plan, following Parks Australia policies and procedures 
- Manage an external consultancy and provide administrative support, including booking meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes and processing invoices 
- Develop policy discussion papers to inform current management plans for the Indian Ocean Territories, including possible integration across marine and terrestrial parks 
- Supporting other projects led by the team as required (such as project management, management plan preparation, stakeholder engagement etc). 
**What you'll need to succeed** 
- Process assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner, 
- Provide accurate and timely advice, 
- Work independently with limited supervision, and 
- Build and maintain strong business rapport with key stakeholders.
