We have a solid reputation for technical excellence in the delivery of scientific and engineering services, with specialised skills across riparian, terrestrial and aquatic ecology, fluvial geomorphology, hydrogeology, hydrology and hydraulics, integrated water management, environmental planning, civil and environmental engineering. Our team is 160 robust across Australia and Current Zealand.
The Waterways and Ecology team consists of ecologists, geomorphologists and environmental scientists who work across a range of terrestrial, coastal and riparian environments – in NSW and around Australia. We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced ecologists in Victoria, specifically those in or around the Wangaratta region.

Key Responsibilities
Project management and technical delivery of a diverse combination of fieldwork and office‑based projects.
Field investigations and surveys using accepted industry methodologies to identify species, populations and/or vegetation communities.
Using your botanical identification skills.
Preparing and leading ecological assessments, impact assessment, vegetation management plans and biodiversity assessments in accordance with the EP&A; Act, the BC Act and the EPBC Act and other Commonwealth environmental legislation.
Coordinating and preparing proposals, tenders and bids for prospective projects.
Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accreditation would be highly regarded (for NSW based projects). We are happy to support our team through this process if they qualify for the course or are driven.
Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Environmental Science with a relevant major is essential, along with significant post‑graduate experience. Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accreditation is highly regarded.

Salary
Salary range is circa $70,000–$120,000 + super.
