The Role
The ABC is looking for a Supervising Producer to take the lead in shaping compelling stories and delivering agenda‑setting, news‑breaking content for Australia's flagship nightly current affairs program,

The Job
* Lead the lineup and on‑air production of 7.30, including rundowns and timely delivery of content.
* Oversee two broadcasts a week with the Executive Producer and Commissioning Editor.
* Work with reporters on shoots, scripting and story development, ensuring creativity and editorial integrity.
* Analyse and respond to major news and events with speed and accuracy.
* Coordinate interviews, shoots and graphics production.
* Contribute to editorial meetings and drive original, agenda‑setting stories.
* Liaise across ABC teams for coverage, promotion and audience engagement.
* Ensure diverse stories that reflect Australia's communities.

You'll have:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Strong leadership skills with experience guiding high-performing teams in a fast-paced newsroom.
* Excellent teamwork, communication, interpersonal and time management abilities.

* Proven commitment to creating authentic content that reflects Australia's cultural and community diversity.
* Ability to build and maintain strong community contacts.
