About the role:
Our client is a national organisation within the manufacturing industry who has a fantastic company culture and provide flexible working conditions. An opportunity as arisen for an experienced Payroll Manager to work on an initial contract basis with the opportunity to go permanent following this. This is a hands-on payroll management position within a large, growing organisation and will involve managing 2 direct reports. You will report directly into the CFO.
Your responsibilities include:
Ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner
Coordinate, direct and control payroll preparation, processing and distribution
Uphold high customer service standards and protocols across the business
Develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders (Executives, HR, Finance)
Manage and mentor 2 direct reports
Work collaboratively and as a team across departments
Use your system experience to ensure staff are well trained and payroll systems are running at their best
Identify process improvements and implement these changes using your strong system knowledge
At least 3 years experience within a similar payroll position
Strong background using large payroll systems
Experience within a high-volume environment
Experience managing payroll projects
A hands on and proactive attitude to support the payroll function
Exceptional communication and relationship building skill
