Technical Lead - Cloud and Application Security
As part of Reece Group, you’ll join a large engineering organization that collaborates across Product Management, Engineering, Data, and AI. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to secure services and applications, provide security mentorship and leadership, and champion secure development practices. You will help embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and build security tooling and automation to enable scalable security.
About the role
The Information Security team focuses on securing both the build and run phases of software services. This is a critical role that champion secure development practices, implements best security practices for cloud teams, and builds and runs security tooling and automation to enable scale.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with teams to champion secure software development practices and raise awareness and education across the organization.
* Build and operate a self-service platform consisting of tooling and processes that empower teams to own their application security posture, providing fast feedback and insights, and guidance on remediation priorities.
* Implement scalable, high-performance hosting solutions using Cloud Technologies.
* Lead and mentor the team to achieve their best outcomes.
* Champion and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to security and cloud practices.
About You
You recognise that the customer is at the heart of everything we do, and you thrive on making the lives of our customers and people better. You have:
* Extensive experience in cloud security or a related field, with at least five years’ experience in software development, with a platform engineering or software development background.
* Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Experience performing threat modelling and risk assessments, including design and code review.
* Experience working with source control management and automation pipelines (e.g., Git) and tooling of choice.
* Experience with infrastructure automation such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
* Strong understanding of cloud security principles, architectures, and best practices.
* Knowledge of identity protocols and patterns such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.
* Experience with operating systems and domain environments such as Windows, Linux, and containerized workloads.
* Experience mentoring and/or leading other team members.
