Based in Box Hill North, this role is responsible for developing and coordinating structured maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimise downtime, and support consistent, high-quality perfume manufacturing outcomes.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for production equipment.
* Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance schedules for filling and packaging machinery.
* Coordinate planned maintenance to minimise disruption to production targets.
* Raise, prioritise and manage work orders within the CMMS system.
* Monitor maintenance progress and follow up outstanding work orders.
* Analyse equipment performance data to reduce recurring breakdowns.
* Track maintenance KPIs including downtime, MTTR and MTBF metrics.
* Collaborate with production supervisors, technicians and external contractors.
* Coordinate spare parts availability with procurement and inventory teams.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and audit documentation.
* Adjust schedules to incorporate urgent and emergency maintenance tasks.
* Support shutdown planning and resource allocation activities.
* Review technical drawings to identify required tools and components.
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with WHS regulations.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
* Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
* A minimum of 12 months’ relevant work experience in a maintenance planning or scheduling role within a production or manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated experience developing structured preventative maintenance schedules within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance work order management processes.
* Ability to analyse equipment performance data and recommend reliability improvement strategies.
* Understanding of spare parts planning, inventory coordination and procurement support activities.
* Sound knowledge of
Work Health and Safety requirements within industrial environments.
* Ability to prepare maintenance reports, KPI tracking and audit-ready documentation accurately.
