We are looking for a motivated and reliable Heavy Diesel Fitter Apprentice to join our growing team
About the Role
As an apprentice, you will train alongside qualified technicians to service, repair, and troubleshoot on a wide range of underground mobile equipment.
What You'll Learn
* Assist in inspections, servicing, and repairs of mobile equipment
* Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults
* Support preventative maintenance programs
* Maintain workshop and site safety standards
* Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment
* Complete logbooks and apprenticeship training requirements
What You'll Bring
* A current QLD class driver's licence (manual)
* Genuine interest in mechanical work
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Good problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and national police clearance.
This is a residential role based in Charters Towers. All applicants must live locally and be current Australian residents.
