MOJ - Admin Officer
Location: Northampton Combined Court Lady's Lane
Office based
Hourly rate: £13.25 per hour
Working days/hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Contract: temporary until 30/06/2026, subject to extension based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and organise court/tribunal documents, case files, and meeting materials.
* Maintain records, perform data entry, handle photocopying, filing, and post.
* Draft standard letters, reports, minutes, and other official correspondence.
* Support court operations by clerking hearings, checking files, and ensuring documents are up to date.
* Assist court users and handle enquiries in person, by phone, and in writing.
* Schedule hearings, contact relevant parties, serve documents, and process fines and fees.
* Process casework including court orders, claims, legal aid, and ensure accurate case results.
* Check and verify documents, records, and data to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures.
* Collect and compile information for reports, statistics, accounts, and team meetings.
* Communicate with judiciary, court staff, and external stakeholders while providing excellent customer service.
Clearance level
Basic DBS (to be applied for by Brook Street upon successful application).
Training
No annual leave during training period.
