Job description
There is currently an opportunity for a full-time, Community Manager, to join our team. The Community Manager will oversee ALL Armajun Service areas.
The aim of the position is to:
* Manage a team in the delivery of Program and Social Supports services to the community
* Improve the existing service delivery model for programs and drug and alcohol rehabilitation and treatment services; mental health services, homelessness and; domestic violence services to respond more effectively to the complex issues experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait living in the New England region of NSW;
* The position will also provide performance management, strategic and business plan delivery, cultural safety & system support, complaints and case management including financial and reporting accountability
* Develop and maintain key working relationships with relevant stakeholders
* Drive positive changes throughout the business and contribute to continuous improvements
* Review service outcomes and produce reporting to relevant parties
* Build and maintain strong relationships with funding bodies, government agencies, and partner organisations.

Selection Criteria
Essential:
* Tertiary qualification in a Business, Leadership, Management, Health or equivalent discipline
* Minimum 2 years-experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated leadership, community development and service planning skills within a multidisciplinary health service delivery model.
* Demonstrated high-level and effective written and verbal communication, consultation and negotiation skills, including proficiency in the use of computer software applications.
* Demonstrated understanding of the drug and alcohol, mental health and domestic violence issues and needs of Aboriginal individuals, families and communities.
* Extensive experience in staff supervision, support, training and development.
* Drivers license and willingness to travel overnight within the region if required.
* National Police Check & Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain.
Desirable:
* Identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander* and be an active member within your community;
* Bachelors degree in a Health related field with current registration with the appropriate professional body
