Fabrication Foreman – Lead a Skilled Team in a Busy, Modern Workshop

Ox Engineering is a WA-owned leader in mining, drilling and transport fabrication, with a strong pipeline of work well into 2026 and beyond. We're growing, and we're looking for a Fabrication Foreman who can keep the wheels turning, support our crew, and help drive quality output across the workshop.
This role reports to the Fabrication Supervisor and works closely with management, project teams and downstream departments. If you're confident on the tools, strong with people, and enjoy the organised chaos of a busy shop — this is your next move.

The Role
You'll take ownership of day-to-day fabrication activities, including:
• Running the workshop floor and coordinating daily work
• Ensuring jobs are completed safely, on schedule and to spec
• Working with the Fabrication Supervisor on planning and job allocation
• Supporting and guiding apprentices through their trade
• Building strong relationships with trades, leadership and project teams
• Coordinating with post-fab teams to keep workflow moving
• Checking, organising and maintaining workflow standards
• Being a steady, level-headed presence in a fast-moving environment
What You'll Bring
To be successful, you'll have:
• 5+ years post-trade experience
• Strong fabrication and welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings confidently
• Solid understanding of mining/transport fabrication steelwork
• Proven experience leading or mentoring others
• Ability to prioritise work, stay calm under pressure and keep jobs moving
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (job tracking, emails, simple documentation)
• Body building experience (desirable but not essential)
• A team-first attitude and pride in delivering quality work
