Overview
As the Chef de Partie, reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
* Contribute to creative and contemporary menu items, dietary requirements, understand the trends and demands of restaurants and events
* Assist in the restaurant and banquets kitchen as required
* Maintaining high standards of preparation and presentation
* Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
* Lead the team from the front
* A strong understanding of dietary requirements
* Contribute to a safe, happy and productive work environment
* Understand and maintain tight food & labour costs
* Maintain hygiene and safety standards
* A Work, Health and Safety ambassador
About You
* Have full Australian Working rights
* Understanding of Greek cuisine is an advantage but not essential
* Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a fast paced restaurant and/or function environment
* A team player, focused on results and being part of a top performing team
* Must have flexible work availability due to the nature of the business
* Have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English
