Overview
The WA civil contracting business delivers heavy concrete projects from foundations through to insitu structural scopes such as bridges, minesite structures and turbine bases for renewable projects. They are seeking a confident PROJECT ENGINEER to join their WA team for remote project work with strong potential for career progression to Project Manager.
About the Role
This permanent role as PROJECT ENGINEER will initially work on a medium-sized insitu concrete project for the next 6–12 months in defence or resources sectors, depending on availability. Future projects will be in these sectors and may require a 2/1 FIFO roster ex-Perth. The core purpose is to facilitate the smooth running of the project by providing support and technical expertise to the site management team during delivery of insitu FRP foundations and structures. Responsibilities include programming & scheduling, coordinating procurement of equipment, machinery & materials, monitoring and reporting on progress, contracts administration & cost management, and HSEQ oversight.
If you have proven EXPERIENCE as a PROJECT ENGINEER on similar reinforced concrete scopes of work for Civil Contractors, you can expect an attractive remuneration package.
Responsibilities
* Provide project engineering support to site management for insitu FRP foundations and structures
* Develop and manage project programming and scheduling
* Coordinate procurement of equipment, machinery and materials
* Monitor and report progress, manage contracts and cost control
* Oversee HSEQ compliance on site
Skills, Experience and Other Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
* Approximately 4+ years' SITE / PROJECT ENGINEER experience with Civil Contractors in Australia
* Proven track record as a PROJECT ENGINEER on large insitu Reinforced Concrete/FRP projects for civil contractors in Australia
* Experience with insitu FRP concrete foundations, industrial buildings, minesite crusher structures, reclaim tunnels, wind turbine bases, bridge abutments, or similar
* Willingness to undertake FIFO 2/1 roster ex-Perth
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Right to live and work in Australia, currently based in Perth
* Current WA C Class Driver's Licence
* Permanent position with a career path to PM level
