We are seeking a dedicated Family Carer Peer Worker to join our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide emotional support to families and carers of individuals with mental health issues.
* Focus on family/carers wellbeing and promote choice, self-determination, and greater opportunities for family members and carers to be heard.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and establish strong, effective working relationships with clinical, allied health, and Consumer Peer Work staff.
* Act as recovery champions within the mental health program and may be involved in other activities including training and education, improving experience of care, and service evaluation.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in supporting families and carers of individuals with mental health issues.
* Lived experience knowledge and skills.
* Knowledge of peer support principles.
* Experience working in a family carer lived experience role.
