You will ensure compliance with FSANZ, SQF, ACO, Kosher, Halal, customer standards, and export requirements, while embedding a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the site, based in south-east suburbs. A key focus will be maintaining audit-readiness at all times and delivering practical, timely solutions to operational challenges. Key responsibilities:***
- Develop, implement, review, and maintain the site's quality management system.
- Lead external audits (regulatory, customer, and 3rd party) and manage internal audits.
- Oversee investigations and ensure NCRs are closed promptly.
- Ensure all raw materials, packaging, and finished products meet specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, consistency, and product quality.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation across all quality processes.
- Train and coach staff in food safety, GMP, and allergen management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team to achieve high performance.
*About You*You are a qualified Food Technologist or Food Engineer with extensive technical expertise and strong leadership skills. You thrive in a cooperative environment, are motivated by continuous improvement, and can deliver practical solutions under pressure. *We're looking for someone who brings:*
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science & Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior QA or site management role within food manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of FSANZ, GFSI systems, and organic certification; familiarity with major retailer standards and TGA is highly regarded.
- Proven leadership skills and strong stakeholder management experience with suppliers, auditors, and customers.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
