About the role:As part of our ongoing growth, we’re excited to offer a new opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join the Maintenance Team at our Merbein Packaging Winery - Merbein on a Full Time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Packaging Maintenance Manager this role is key in ensuring our products are packaged to the highest standard, supporting efficient operations across our production lines.
Key Responsibilities:• Performing timely repairs and maintenance on winery equipment with minimal disruption to production• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of capital projects• Using diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues• Identifying and recommending opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and performance• Completing routine and preventative maintenance within expected timeframes
We are looking for:Trade Qualified: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical TradeExperience: Minimum of 3-years in a maintenance fitter role, ideally in a production, bottling or winery environmentTechnical Skills: Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting, welding and fabrication, with a strong focus on safety.Mechanical Aptitude: Strong problem-solving ability, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to tasksCommunication & Teamwork: Clear communicator with a collaborative, self-motivated attitude and a commitment to our values — working together, being innovative, responsive, and empowered
Other Requirements• Current driver licence (essential)• Forklift licence (desirable)• A 38-hours 5 day per week. Willingness to work across various shifts, including occasional weekends or on-call support, as reasonably scheduled
Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 per annum
