Safety and Wellness Leader Role Overview
Job Description
As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will be responsible for leading a proactive and high-performance safety and wellness culture across Asia Pacific. This strategic leadership role involves driving excellence in health, safety, and wellbeing practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a culture that prioritizes employee well-being.
* Develop and implement comprehensive wellbeing frameworks, addressing physical, mental, emotional, social, and workplace well-being.
* Lead best-practice injury management, early intervention, and return-to-work programs to minimize injury costs and improve outcomes.
* Design and deliver training programs and workshops on psychosocial risk management, ensuring employee mental health and wellbeing.
* Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategies that promote a positive and inclusive safety and wellness culture.
* Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement best-practice solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this critical role, you will need:
* Extensive experience in a senior safety, wellness, or risk leadership position within a multi-jurisdictional environment.
* A strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management frameworks, and psychosocial safety obligations across Australia and Asia.
* Proven success in designing and implementing large-scale wellbeing programs with measurable impact.
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels.
* Experience managing external providers and service delivery contracts.
* Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and continuous improvement.
* Proficiency with digital safety and wellness systems and data-driven decision-making.
