The role
About the Role

We are looking to hire a Social Worker (Grade 2) to join our Raphael Services Perinatal Mental Health team in Bendigo on a permanent part-time basis.

You will work independently and demonstrate a specialist level knowledge and depth of experience, participate in teaching, training and research, supervise students and mentor junior caregivers.

As a Social Worker you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide senior social work services to consumers. You will practice accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines and SJGHC policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based senior Social Work services to consumers/carers within the clinical specialty area(s).
  • Provide Social Work assessment, intervention and evaluation at an advanced practice level for complex and general caseload(s).
  • Ensures prioritisation and delegation of duties for own caseload and supervised caregivers.
  • Contributes to the evaluation of the Social Work Service and Clinical Specialty, to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensures effective multidisciplinary team work through professional communication and comprehensive liaison with colleagues, consumers/carers and service providers.
  • Ensures maintenance of appropriate clinical documentation and clinical information systems.
  • Demonstrates reflective practice and commitment to professional development.
  • Supports Social Work service through communicating issues and ideas for enhancing the service (through to the coordinator of Social Work).
Qualifications
  • Senior clinical experience and leadership in a specialised area of practice within a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to undertake professional supervision and/or mentor junior staff and develop evidence-based, innovative clinical practices and initiation of quality improvement activities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work.
  • Registered as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
  • Eligible for a Medicare provider number.
Benefits
  • Salary: $89,954 to $107,578 plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Permanent part-time, working 30.4 hours per week.
