Group Director - Population Screening and Cancer Prevention Join a passionate and dedicated team making a real difference in cancer prevention and early detection. As part of a small, collaborative group, you’ll work closely with other departments and community organisations to deliver impactful, statewide screening and prevention services. The Role: Provide strategic leadership, high level advice and direction on a state-wide basis in the development and management of PSCP. Develop, implement and evaluate a strategic and business framework and policies, systems and processes to support the delivery of quality services. Advise on current and emerging trends in cancer prevention and control, in particular population screening, at an organisational, state and national level Oversee operational activities and ensure financial health by effectively managing resources, budgets, and compliance to maintain efficiency and maximise impact. Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture by supporting and inspiring staff, promoting professional growth, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams to enhance performance and job satisfaction. Details of appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. $170,409 to $188,400 per annum our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance withPublic Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022 You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year other benefits if eligible. Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria. Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in the management and delivery of health services, preferably population-based screening programs.
