Key Job Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the parcel delivery hub. This includes managing all aspects of parcel returns, driver booking, and route optimisation.
About the Role:
As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the station and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Accountabilities:
* Manage and coordinate all operational activities related to parcel returns, driver booking, and route optimisation
* Prepare and analyse performance reports related to KPIs, forecasts and budgets
* Direct and delegate routes and work to IDCs and their teams
* Uphold and promote a safe and secure environment for all employees and Delivery Partners
* Maintain accurate and thorough logbooks and reports
* Develop and nurture positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Lead by example and offer ongoing coaching and support to team members
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in a leadership position, preferably in a fast-paced environment
* Previous experience in the transportation and freight industry is preferred
* Collaborative and professional work style, with a strong focus on team engagement and hands-on support
* Passionate about coaching and development, building team capability and supporting long-term growth and success
* Customer-focused mindset, committed to delivering positive experiences and building lasting relationships
* Strong workflow management and prioritisation skills
