Base Pay Range

A$124,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr

Role type: Full‑time; Fixed‑term for 3 years. Faculty: Architecture, Building and Planning. Salary: Academic Level B – $124,656 – $148,023 p.a. plus 17% super.

Responsibilities

- Lead and Innovate in Teaching: Deliver core design studios, coordinate professional practice subjects, and engage students through design‑based learning.
- Advance Research and Scholarship: Conduct and collaborate on research initiatives, publishing findings and presenting at conferences.
- Strengthen Professional Connections: Build relationships with industry bodies and design practices, enhancing program visibility and value.
- Mentor and Support: Guide students and early‑career designers toward skilled registration and practice.

Qualifications and Experience

- You will be an experienced landscape architect with a passion for teaching and research, possessing a strong understanding of contemporary design practices and a collaborative approach to engage with colleagues and industry.
- PhD or equivalent in landscape architecture with professional experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in design studio teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build networks with industry.
- Experience in academic administration and a willingness to undertake various roles.
- Capability to engage with community and industry for collaborative research.
