About the role
Our
Senior Project Engineer
plays a critical role in delivering capital, operational improvement and major maintenance projects across our regional sugar manufacturing operations. You will manage larger, more complex projects, often spanning multiple sites and plant types, ensuring assets meet reliability, safety and performance requirements. This role provides technical leadership, drives project governance, and partners closely with engineering, operations and reliability teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Coordinate and manage capital projects, including budgeting, funding and cashflow processes
* Work closely with the Projects Manager to deliver regional programs of work
* Collaborate with reliability, engineering, design and production teams to define scope and monitor progress
* Conduct feasibility studies, perform due diligence and design equipment or plant installations
* Develop technical specifications, commercial contracts and ensure compliance with statutory and internal standards
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Tertiary engineering qualification and demonstrated project management experience (industrial manufacturing experience preferred)
* Proficiency in project management systems and software (e.g., MS Project, SAP PM/IM)
* Experience managing complex or multi-site capital projects
* Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to coach, guide and support project teams and drive continuous improvement
