To ensure this continues, we source all of our metal from ISO accredited mills and hold popular sizes in stock for prompt delivery all over Australia and New Zealand. Primary Metals and Alloys based in Qld, is seeking qualified and experienced Fitter and Turner to join their friendly team of professionals on a full time and permanent basis.
The role includes but is not limited to: Review and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of the components and work procedures Construct/ fabricate structural components from raw materials using appropriate tools.
Use welding equipment to fuse structural components. Inspect fabricated and assembled components to ensure size, clearance, and fit accuracy. Utilise power tools and machines to cut structural components as needed.
Create a suitable maintenance schedule to carry out periodic machine and system maintenance. Conduct diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine its root cause. Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed.
Adhere to all work-site safety rules and regulations. To be considered for this role, you must have: Appropriate trade qualification
Proven post experience working in the same field Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints for mechanical system Ability to use wide range of hand and power tools
Knowledge and experience of using computerised machines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong welding and mechanical skills
