The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for multiple finance professionals to join a high-performing management accounting function, with three vacancies available:
* Financial Analyst
* Senior Financial Analyst
* Financial Analyst Team Leader
These roles play a key part in delivering high-quality financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support informed decision-making across a complex service environment. Depending on your level, you will partner with stakeholders, influence strategic outcomes, and contribute to financial sustainability initiatives.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting to support decision-making across diverse portfolios.
* Developing financial models and analysing performance, trends and variances to identify risks and opportunities.
* Partnering with stakeholders to provide clear, actionable financial advice and improve financial capability.
* Supporting (or leading) budget processes, performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensuring compliance with financial governance, policies and public sector requirements.
* Leading, mentoring and driving team performance (Senior/Team Leader levels).

These roles are all Cairns based, remote applications will not be considered.
Your Skills & Experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Business, with CPA/CA (or working towards) highly regarded.
* Experience in management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability; experience with systems such as SAP or Power BI is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
* Leadership experience and a continuous improvement mindset (for Senior/Team Leader roles).
* Interest in or willingness to work within regional, remote and culturally diverse environments.
