Cloncurry State School is seeking a Deputy Principal for a short‐term opportunity, focusing on strategic, operational and team support. As Deputy Principal, you will play a key role in shaping school‐wide improvement, leading high‐quality teaching and learning, and supporting the Principal and Leadership team in the strategic and operational leadership of the school. The role involves building strong partnerships, guiding staff and student performance, and ensuring inclusive, future‐focused practices. This is a temporary full‐time position until 26 June 2026, unless otherwise determined.
This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

* Support the Principal in leading a shared, future‐focused educational vision that delivers high‐quality outcomes for all students, and deputise when required.
* Model ethical, values‐based leadership while embedding socially just and inclusive practices across the school.
* Set and maintain high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
* Engage in continuous professional learning and demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
* Build strategic partnerships and effectively manage resources to achieve school goals.
