Your Role at St John of God Geelong Hospital
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Women and Newborn Services Manager to lead the Women's Health Unit—including the recently redeveloped 30‐bed Postnatal Ward, 4 Birth Suites, and 9‐cot Level 3 Special Care Nursery. In this pivotal leadership role you will oversee the Women & Babies portfolio, champion excellence in patient safety, clinical quality, patient experience, staff wellbeing, and sustainable service performance.

Position Responsibilities
* Monitor, analyse and report on variances in data and activity related to clinical outcomes for the Service, using data to support innovation and change.
* Develop and implement the Service operational plan to align with SJGHC and SJG Geelong Strategic and Operational Plans.
* Contribute to model development that places the patient at the centre of planning, decision‐making and evaluation.
* Lead a consistent person‐centred care culture within the Service, ensuring all patient encounters create a memorable experience.
* Analyse data to identify trends and create solutions to improve patient experience.
* Lead quality improvement activities ensuring alignment with the requirements of the NSQHS Standards.
* Drive innovation in the Service to advance clinical excellence and patient outcomes.
* Deliver leadership through effective communication, interpersonal skills, change management and team strategy as outlined in the SJGHC Leadership Profile.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife/Nurse Midwife.
* Minimum of 4 years of nursing management experience.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication, influence and relationship‐building abilities.
* Commitment to patient care, and alignment with our Mission and Values.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: $141,601 per annum (pro‐rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation.
* Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits including mortgage, rent, meals, entertainment, holiday accommodation, novated leasing, work‐related expenses, self‐education, and additional superannuation.
