About the Role and Your Impact As the Business Development Manager, you will be initiating, negotiating, and developing a wide range of diverse projects alongside highly technical personnel. Your goal is to maximize business opportunities, foster deep client relationships, and ensure the company remains a market leader through best-practice approaches. Your key responsibilities will include: Executing strategy for a diverse range of services and equipment within specific market segments. Promoting and implementing client relationship and marketing activities to grow the brand and secure new projects. Representing the company at industry conferences, workshops, and seminars. Coordinating the preparation of technically and commercially sound tenders and quotes. Performing commercial and financial reviews of monthly project costs to ensure accurate forecasting across the portfolio. Skills and Experience Required To be the successful candidate for this job, you must be a commercially minded leader with a growth mindset and significant experience in technically focused industries. Required criteria: A minimum of 10 years business development experience within a relevant market sector, such as waste management or civil construction. Established connections within the waste/environmental or construction industry. Must be willing to travel interstate for this role. A demonstrable portfolio of business development successes within a recognized service provision firm. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, or Science are highly preferred. Experience with CRM software (e.g., Work Bench) is essential. Advanced interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team. A valid driver’s license and the ability to comply with police checks.
