Job Title: Library Project Officer
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for preserving cultural heritage and working in a collaborative environment. As a library project officer, you will be responsible for managing collection materials and collaborating with a cultural institution to achieve shared goals.
Key responsibilities include retrieving collection material from the shelves, rehousing it into new containers, labeling them, and creating or updating item descriptions and metadata in MS Excel spreadsheets. You will also have the opportunity to work on various projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the growth of the organization.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have basic Excel skills, understand the importance of accuracy, be comfortable lifting up to 10kgs, and have experience working with collection materials previously.
Working hours will be flexible, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. This is a contract position commencing immediately with the possibility of extension into the future.
