PFD Food Services is a 100% Australian owned food service network, with 70 strategically located distribution centres around Australia. We deliver an extensive range of fresh meat and seafood together frozen products, drygoods, paper products and cleaning solutions to the food service industry.

**What does a day in the role look like?**

This position will provide support to a State/Business Unit and their respective branches on financial and commercial tasks. The finance business partner is part of the Group Finance team are also responsible for end to end financial/commercial matters for the Region including month-end processes, budgets. Forecasts, business case preparation, reconciliations and ad-hoc tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyse, review and report on the financial performance and position of specified branches/regions on a monthly and annual basis against budgets, forecasts and last year
- Investigate and explain variances, trends and anomalies including investigations of sales, margins, productivity, labour and material variances, inventory, direct and indirect costs
- Prepare month end financials and yearend closes through processing of journals for provisions/accruals/adjustments
- Prepare & distribute monthly presentation packs for consolidation and BPM reviews including insights and commentary
- Liaise with Branch Managers, Area Business Managers and General Managers, and assist with achieving regional profitability and growth targets
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with company policy
- Carry out analysis of system processes relating to assigned regions
- Prepare general ad hoc reports
- Regional budget preparation and analysis
- Preparation of branch and regional forecasts
- Assist with both internal and external audits as required.
- Other duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned from time to time

**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- CPA/CA Qualified with minimum 5 -7 years' experience in a commercial environment
- Strong technical accounting, commercial skills and presentation skills
- Framework and facts orientated approach is a must
- Strong analytical / problem solving skills - provide actionable insights
- Attention to detail is a must
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence outcomes
- Ability to multi-task assignments and appropriately prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
- Both internally & externally focused thinker
- Strong commitment to a team culture and performance
- High levels of energy and drive - Performance based mindset, results orientated
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills with Intermediate / Advanced Excel (VBA), Word, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of TM1, Qlik and PowerBi an advantage
