About the team
The Safeguarding and Integrity Team within the Diversity, People and Culture Group enables the ASC to be a leading child‑safe organization. We support compliance with legislative and policy requirements for the safety and integrity of people on our sites and in our operations. We work with teams across the ASC and with government and sporting organizations and peak bodies in the sport sector.
About the role
You will develop and implement policies and action plans to deliver the ASC's commitment to safeguarding and sport integrity. Working with a team you will plan and consult with key stakeholders, monitor compliance, prepare reports, provide guidance and expertise on child safeguarding and integrity matters, and identify learning and development opportunities.
Responsibilities

* Monitor compliance with safeguarding and integrity policies and produce quality reports
* Provide guidance on child safeguarding and integrity matters, including complex and sensitive issues

Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian citizens only and must be able to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance. A Working With Vulnerable/Children People check is required. The ASC is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation and leading the way in Child Safety across the sports sector.
This position may have access to sensitive and potentially distressing information in the areas of sexual misconduct and child safeguarding. All applicants that will work with children will undergo screening processes prior to appointment.
Additional Information
Should a merit pool be established for this position, it may be used to fill ongoing or fixed‑term opportunities as they arise within 18 months from the date advertised. The ASC operates under the Australian Sports Commission Act and is separate to the Public Service Act. The ASC accepts most leave liability and recognition of prior service if you are currently employed at a Commonwealth agency.
