Clinical Nurse/Midwife Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse/Midwife to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and effective nursing/midwifery care to achieve identified individual/group health outcomes.
Key aspects of this role include:
1. Providing Expert Care: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing/midwifery care to patients, focusing on achieving optimal health outcomes.
2. Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate nursing/midwifery care across a shift, serving as a valuable resource for colleagues within a designated portfolio.
3. Accountability and Planning: Be accountable for the planning, provision, and communication of nursing/midwifery care, including regular evaluation and revision of practice to ensure excellence.
4. Collaboration and Teamwork: Foster a positive workplace culture by demonstrating NTH values - safe, responsive, and kind - in all decision-making and interactions with consumers and colleagues.
5. Mentorship and Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of local activities beyond direct client care, mentoring and preceptoring less experienced staff and students.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same.
* Demonstrated expertise in a relevant area of nursing/midwifery, with a broad range of skills and experience.
* Ability to act as a clinical resource person and role model, including mentoring and preceptoring less experienced staff and students.
* Effective communication skills to achieve positive outcomes, including maintaining productive multi-disciplinary working relationships.
