Work Location: Hedland Operations - Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: We are offering a range of flexible rosters for this role:
1. 4/3 or 8/6 FIFO ex Perth
2. 4/3 FIFO, 5/2 Perth office-based, or working from home
3. Residential in Hedland
Reporting to: Port Engineering Projects Superintendent
Role Description: Responsible for maintaining Hedland Operations Port and Rail facilities Registerable Plant portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
1. Thorough understanding and application of Work Health and Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety Regulations 2022, and Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995.
2. Expertise and experience in a wide range of equipment from itinerant plant to fixed plant lifting equipment and pressure equipment.
3. Maintenance of Plant Registers.
4. Establish maintenance regimes for all registerable items in compliance with legislation, standards, and internal procedures.
5. Compilation and rectification of non-compliances.
6. Registration of new assets and maintenance of plant records.
7. Inspection of itinerant plant for site entry.
8. Close collaboration with planning, engineering, and maintenance teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements:
* Related Engineering Degree or background working with Registerable Plant.
* Competency in SAP (preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint (essential).
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively influence people to achieve their targets.
* Conduct Field Interactions with work groups to promote safe work practices.
* High-level written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organisation.
* Self-driven, willing to be flexible, and demonstrate initiative without supervision.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
* Current Driver’s License (C Class).
