Chef (Cafe) Job Responsibilities:
* Planning menu in consultation with management for the occasions and ongoing.
* Managing team of cooks and kitchen staff for smooth operations.
* Manage food preparation and cooking processes in a fast-paced environment.
* Ensure all food items are prepared according to safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Maintain inventory levels, order ingredients, and manage stock to minimize waste.
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
* Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
* Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to bring new ideas to the table.
* Provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a chef role, preferably in a sandwich bar, café, or restaurant.
* Passion for food and creating unique, dishes and starters.
* Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* Creativity and a willingness to experiment with new ingredients and flavors.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Salary:$75,000 to $80,000 (Plus Superannuation). Experience :2 years plus experience required. Qualification: Diploma in hospitality or equivalent. Visa Status: Full working rights.
