Key responsibilities
Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects;
Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets;
Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients;
Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team;
Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers;
Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
Experience & Skills
Bachelor to Masters’ level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering);
RPEQ qualified or close to completion
Minimum 8-12 years post graduate industry experience
Commercial experience in Australia or New Zealand on medium/large building structure engineering projects is essential.
Exposure across a range of local building sectors, e.g., transport, health, retail, defence;
Familiar with ETABS, RAM Concept and Microstran
Solid consultancy experience in a client facing role with ability to lead projects
Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery
Experience coaching & mentoring junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
Ability to obtain Australian Defence Force security clearance (Aus Citizenship required) would be preferred but not essential
